It’s the only answer that makes any reasonable sense. Regardless of how I feel about this being the case, or whether it’s impact has been overall good or bad for humanity is irrelevant. The fact is that so much of daily life has been enmeshed with the use of this device that to imagine life without it is nearly impossible.
